SDI Open Water Course
In less than 5 minutes after signing up, you can start your Open Water Course Online! You will receive a special code to log in and you can begin your training right away! You can complete all of your academics at your time and pace from home. Once completed, we’ll gear up and splash for our in-water pool sessions, and soon after our check out dives at the lake.
What to Expect:
Once you sign up for the online class, you will receive an email with your login information. Then you can start your training. The online training will be at your own pace, and in your free time, with interactive presentations, videos, graphs, and readings. Short quizzes allow you to gauge your progress, and allow you to review questions you may have.
Once the online training is completed, we will meet at our training facility for a short review of the online training class, along with a short comprehensive test. Then it’s off to the pool for the fun part of the class. In the pool, you will learn the skills needed to dive safely and effortlessly in the open water. These pool sessions are under the direct supervision of our trained instructors. Our teaching staff is dedicated to providing you with the highest quality diver training with individualized attention. Since everyone has their own pace and style of learning, we limit class sizes and offer extra classroom and pool sessions for those that need it. With our flexible schedule you may complete the pool portion in 2 partial days.
Part 2 is open water training dives; here you will earn your Open Water Certification. This two-day session includes an onsite orientation and four enjoyable SCUBA dives which are closely supervised by your SDI Instructor. During the dives you will apply the skills you have learned. Your Part 2 dives can be completed at Lake Wazee (one of Wisconsin’s prime dive spots) or at a dive vacation site of your choice. There are hundreds of SDI dive centers worldwide! Whichever you choose, you’ll see an abundance of aquatic life in its natural
environment and complete your certification while experiencing the thrill of diving.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
To get started, register Online at http://www.sdi-onlinetraining.com/ register for the Open Water Diver Course. You will need to select Wazee Sports Center in Black River Falls WI as your dive center. You would just contact us, give a $100.00 deposit to get the online code. Complete the online class, and while working on the course contact us at Wazee Sports Center to make arrangements for the pool and lake portions of the training, the balance is due before the pool session. You will need to purchase a mask, fins, and a snorkel. (Plus we offer all our students 20% off EVERYTHING in our store) The course fee includes the following: online course, 2 pool sessions, 4 open water dives, AIR table and log book and SDI certification card. Your fee also includes the use of a complete set of training equipment for your course. You will have to pay a dive fee at the lake for the open water dives of $10. per day.
